Social Media Manager

At Snap Scene, creativity is our passion. Frustrated by the limitations of most experiential exhibition spaces and the lack of variety, Snap Scene's founder Iya Thomas was dead set on carving out a creative space for people to enjoy.  

Snap Scene is the first experiential exhibition space that is truly accessible and reflective of the times. Patrons are provided with visuals they can identify with and relate to regardless of race, size, age or ability.

Job Description

Social Media Managers will work to cultivate a social media following and promote Snap Scene's brand. You will use posts, comments and replies to engage with Snap Scene's audience and develop a relatable company voice. The Social Media Manager may delegate content creation tasks to other team members and study which aspects of their campaigns result in the highest engagement and conversions. The Social Media Manger also monitors online posts that mention Snap Scene so they can mediate the impact of negative reviews and share positive testimonials with their current following to strengthen customer relationships.

Ultimately, you will help Snap Scene reach its target audience by delivering both useful and appealing online information about our company and products. 


  • Research/have knowledge of industry-related topics

  • Regularly post or schedule to be posted, text, video and images that engage our target market. 

  • Follow online conversations on Snap Scene's social media accounts and solve customer concerns using social media platforms. 

  • Identify social media events such as an interesting hashtag or a sensitive topic and share appropriate content that aligns with Snap Scene's social media strategy.  

  • Craft engaging content and align content with customer trends and market changes to interest and engage people. 

  • Use digital technologies to meet the goals of social media campaigns.

  • Learn/research social media trends.

  • Identifying new social media tools and find real-time online conversations.

  • Organize tasks to meet deadlines. 

  • Work according to schedules to meet marketing and business goals.  

  • Edit and proofread written pieces before publication

  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content

  • Interact with Snap Scene's audience


  • Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. Trello, Later, Canva)

  • Excellent writing and editing skills in English

  • Be able to edit original works

  • Be familiar with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and TikTok

  • Efficient time-management skills

  • Familiarity with Marketing, English, Journalism or relevant field

This position has a 60 day probationary period and is up for review every six months. This position is partially remote and part-time. Events or obligations that require a physical presence will be discussed in advance.
