Collaboration Over Competition: How a Snap Scene Partnership Created an Unforgettable Photo Booth Experience for NYC Students

Let’s talk about collaboration over competition, because some of y’all are out here competing with people who don’t even know you exist. (Yeah, we said it.) Meanwhile, the real bag? It’s in partnerships that take your business—and your impact—to the next level. Case in point: what took place at P.S. 32 in Staten Island, New York City.

It all started with web design. Yes, Snap Scene does web design—degreed up and everything. A simple project turned into an opportunity to provide the students at P.S. 32 with a photo booth experience they’d never forget. The PTA at P.S. 32? They didn’t just do their job; they SHOWED OUT. They made sure every student, every grade got to experience the magic of a proper photo booth session, while displaying their team spirit. And let me tell you, when people go all out, they need the right support.

Enter Lisa, owner of One Love Photo Booth. Lisa has been a long time supporter of Founder Iya Thomas’ business ventures, and when Iya saw a huge void in Lisa’s visuals, Iya didn’t just stand by. Iya said, “I got this.” Because real ones don’t let a need go unanswered.

Service providers, take notes. You want to win? Stop waiting for clients to tell you what they need—SEE IT. OFFER IT. GET IT BACK. Some services, some imaging, some branding elements can only be captured on location, during the REAL moment. Why use a stale overdone stock photo when the real vibe is a shutter click away?

That’s why Snap Scene stepped in. Iya offered to accompany Lisa to her next photo booth booking. She needed quality content for her website—no stiff, overused, generic images. The real deal. And because Lisa and Iya have a long-standing relationship (over a decade), she said yes to the collab.

We were up and at it at 5AM. 7 AM, we pulled up and set up. We captured what's set to be long standing memories, not just moments. Every student, even some parents, got in on the action. And after all was said and done? We sat down, shared a slice of pizza, and laughed.

And then we had a realization: We’re good together.

Lisa is a master at locking in clients. Iya executes like nobody’s business. What’s next? Who knows? But if you’re looking for photo booth services in NYC, Long Island, or upstate NY, visit SnapSceneNY.com. If you’re in New Jersey, Staten Island, or further south, our girl Lisa at One Love Photobooth has you covered.

Need web design, BTS content, socail media management? That’s Snap Scene’s lane, too. And don’t forget—it’s what led to this chance encounter in the first place.

So stop looking at the person next to you as competition. They might just be your biggest asset. Let's make magic together!
